Dr Adam Rosen – Specialist Dermatologist in Salisbury

Thank you for visiting my website – most importantly, of course, I want you to feel better and more comfortable in your skin!

Often, sadly, skin conditions are dismissed, seemingly because of very long waiting times to be seen in hospital, or a lack of understanding and knowledge in the community. I want to change this.

I know very well that many conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis, cause a great deal of long term symptoms. These can seriously impact on social activities, your work and intimacy. There are many treatments that can completely change and improve lives. I see many people who have suffered for years due to inadequate treatments. I will do all that I can to treat your condition, whatever it is across the wide range of dermatological diagnoses and work alongside you during this journey.

A rapidly growing problem in this country is the number of skin cancers, from the common Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) that still is occasionally called a ‘rodent ulcer’, through Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC), to the concerning melanoma. By and large it is particularly true in cancers of the skin that early diagnosis and treatment means that cure is more likely. There is also a cosmetic element too, particularly on the face, obviously the bigger the cancer the larger the repair. I have a particular interest in skin cancer and as well as being able to check your skin, including checking moles, I can reassure you and help you to better monitor not only your own skin, but that of your loved ones.

If we do find a skin cancer, we can discuss the methods of treatment together, and then arrange prompt treatment.

When you see me I want you to feel reassured that your skin condition has been taken seriously. I want you to be confident that a holistic and empathic approach has been taken that involves you in your treatment.

I can help with all of the common skin problems such as acne, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, moles, skin tags, warts, hair loss / alopecia plus the various rashes and ‘lumps and bumps’.

I can give prompt diagnosis and treatment for more dangerous problems such as melanomas and other skin cancers.
